BUDAPEST, Aug. 12 (Xinhua) -- Like in the first two days, Japan shone on the third and final day of the 2018 Budapest Judo Grand-Prix here on Sunday, earning the gold medals in men's 100kg and +100kg and women's 78kg.

Mami Umeki took the women's 78kg gold, beating her compatriot Rika Takayama in the final. The bronze medals went to Natalie Powell from Britain, and Guusje Steenhuis from the Netherlands.

Chinese judoka Liu Yi got ousted in her first fight by silver medalist Takayama.

In the women's +78kg category, Cuban fighter Idalys Ortiz won the gold, beating Maryna Slutskaya from Belarus in the final. The bronze medals were taken by Nihel Cheikh Rouhou from Tunesia and Chinese Jiang Yanan. Jiang's bronze was China's first medal in the tournament.

In the men's 90kg category, Krisztian Toth from Hungary beat Ushangi Margiani from Georgia in the final. The bronze medals went to Aleksandar Kukolj from Serbia and Ivan Felipe Silva Morales from Cuba.

In the men's 100kg category, Aaron Wolf from Japan beat Karl-Richard Frey from Germany in the final. The bronze medals went to Jevgenijs Borodavko from Latvia and Peter Paltchik from Israel.

In the +100kg category, Japan's Kokoro Kageura beat Austrian Stephan Hegyi in the final. The bronze medals wnet to Dutch judoka Roy Meyer and Adam Okruashvili from Georgia.

Japan topped the team standings, followed by Hungary and Russia.
