DHAKA, Jan. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Bangladeshi "tree man" who left Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) in May last year after being treated there for about two and a half years, has been rushed to the hospital again for treatment as his health condition is getting worse day by day.

Abul Bajandar, 28, got the nickname due to an extremely rare skin disorder disease which left him with branch-like warts on his hands and feet.

He came under huge spotlight when local and foreign media reports were published following his admission to the DMCH on Jan. 30, 2016.

Again he is no more in a position to hold anything properly in his hands.

"It was a big mistake for me to leave the hospital at that time. It was better for me to stay at the hospital to complete my treatment. Actually that time I lost my patience," Bajandar told journalists as he is now suffering from severe pain in his hands and legs.

He left the hospital in May, just before his 26th surgery.

His hands and feet have grown to resemble gnarled tree branches.

For decades he has been suffering from the rare disease called epidermodysplasia verruciformis, which has tree trunk-like warts, almost weighing four kg on both his hands and feet.

The rare disorder is also known as "tree man" disease.

He is said to be the fourth man in the world with the illness which makes the functionality of his limbs severely limited.
